Sensitivity Reader
I'm a university student getting her B.A. in History (Honors) with a side focus in English. I was the Assistant Literary Editor for one year, Managing Editor the second for my former community college's Art and Literary Journal. I've been published in my current university's publication. I now work as assistant/intern at a public history nonprofit.
I offer Sensitivity Reader services for
- Obessive Complusive Disorder
- Generalized Anxiety
- Allergies, includin anaphylaxis to peanuts
- Asthma
- Dyscalculia (math learning disorder)
- Being pansexual
I will give you a detailed, close read, that points out what is and isn't working in regards to the sensitivities I can speak for. I will give you a 1-2 page letter that details that, plus offers ideas to fix it. I will also make comments on the document, with problems, succeses, and solutions.
I am willing to read most anything, exluding erotica and hardcore/mature horror.
Payment/Policies
I go by Write in the Margins policies: http://writeinthemargins.org/sensitivity-readers/
I charge 250 dollars per 60,000-100,000 words manuscript. For short stories or shorter mansucripts, I do 0.04 cents a word. For a project larger than 100,000 words we can negotiate a price that works for both. I am willing to negoitate a lower price if you are a college student and/or a person with part time job.
I use Paypal. I charge 50% before I read, and the other 50% after I finished. Refunds are not available.
Per their guideliness, I can read through a 60-100k word manscript in 30 days. If for some reason I would ever need longer, I would let you know right when you first contacted me.
For Sensitivity Consulting, Synopsis/Outline Sensitivity Review prices vary. The general price is 100 for each service, or 200 for both. If it is a short story, rather than a novel, it'll be a much smaller price.
